Our Foundation Story

The following Why, How, and What Statements define our purpose.

Why Statement (Why we exist): To create greater joy for individuals suffering with Multiple Sclerosis.

How Statement (How are we unique): Rather than funding research, our focus is providing alternative physical therapies which positively impact those living with Multiple Sclerosis today.

What Statement (What we do): Providing financial support for proven physical therapies will improve mobility and overall quality of life for North Iowans and Southern Minnesotans living with Multiple Sclerosis.

Mobility is a central issue of those living with MS. If mobility becomes limited, life becomes more challenging, and limitations are real. Persevering One Step at a Time will partner with individuals living with MS and other non-profit entities such as hospitals and therapy clinics to match services and equipment that improve mobility.

The services and equipment recommendations have been used or are currently being used by me, and any future recommendations will be researched and proven prior to recommending. These are proven options to improve mobility.

Persevering One Step at a Time is a needs-based foundation, with the objective of placing a service or equipment with an individual or non-profit organization that has a financial need and will use it to improve mobility and lifestyle. Please see the Grant Tab for more information and the grant application form.
